Janette Laverne Pepper
Janette Laverne Pepper died peacefully on June 29, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 19, 1930 in Long Beach California. As a child, she was the tallest girl in school, very athletic and loved to swim and ride horses.
Janette met her husband of 55 years, Boyd Pepper, at a dance in Seattle in 1958 and were married in North Dakota that same year.
She was an inspiration to her three children, Cheri Blystone (husband, Byron), Vicki McInnally (husband, Gary) and Dr. Clint Pepper (wife, Dawn) and was very influential in the lives of her eight grandchildren, Holly, Keith, Jake, Casey, Quinn, Tess, Riley, Rayna and great grandchild Rayne. She is survived by her younger brother Edward Fuller of California, whom she helped raise.
Her friendship and kindness touched many people of all ages. She loved horse activities and at 80 years old, was one of the oldest riders competing nationally in pattern horse racing events. She drove school bus for 17 years and led the Withers & Wits 4-H Horse Club for many years. Janette was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church for 50 years.
