Jean Marie Moomey

May 25, 1921- Sept. 8, 2013 Jean was born in Everett, WA to parents, Monica and Millard Kephart. She grew up in Everett and attended Garfield Elementary, North Jr. Middle School, and Everett High School. In 1941 she married the love of her life, Allen Richard Moomey. Allen and Jean raised two children, Bonnie and Richard "Dick". The family lived in the Silver Lake Area. Jean was very active in the Parent Teacher Association, service as P.T.A. Council President. She also received the Golden Acorn Award. Jean was employed as an Education Secretary for the Everett School District before retiring. She loved art, poetry, and produced some lovely work of her own. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed baking and was well knows as: "Cookie Grandma". Jean was preceded in death by her son, Richard "Dick"; and her husband, Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Kaiser; and sisters, Audrey Ferris and Joy Dunham; brothers-in-law, Art Ferris, and Gwinn Dunham; grandchildren, Angela Reeves, Adam Moomey and Shellie Moomey; daughter-in-law, Carol Moomey; and great-granddaughter, Hannah; plus many nieces and nephews.
