June McMurray

June McMurray, age 87, lifelong resident of Everett passed away peacefully with her family at her side into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 10, 2014. June was born on November 22, 1926 to Garrie and Mima Hartman of Everett. A couple years after graduating from Everett High School, June married the love of her life, Edwin McMurray. Edwin and June spent the next 63 years together in the same home, raising their children and living their lives. June was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother. She loved cooking, sewing and caring for her family. Her great cooking carried over to delicious meals on our yearly family camping trips around the great Northwest. June was an active member of the Delta Community Church where she served many years teaching children and women's missionary support. After Edwin passed away a couple years ago, June relocated to Taylormade Care Adult Family Home and then the US Inns Adult Family Home until the time of her passing. June is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edwin McMurray; son, James McMurray; brother, Bob Hartman and son-in- law, Greg Glasgow. She is survived by her son, Michael McMurray; daughter, Melanie Glasgow; three grandchildren and their spouses; as well as fourteen great grandchildren. The McMurray family would like to thank both Adult Family Homes for the loving care they provided to June. A special thanks would also like to be given to Providence Hospice for the extra care they added to keep June rested and comforted in the last few weeks of her life. June will be laid to rest next by her husband at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett, Wash. Arrangements are being cared for under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Home, www.evergreen-fh.com in Everett.
