Kenneth Austin White

Kenneth Austin White, 87, died peacefully on March 3, 2014. He was born in Vancouver, B.C. in 1927, and graduated from Everett High School. Ken was a Signalman in the US Navy during World War II and served in the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign and the Philippine Liberation. After the war, Ken married Ruth Tissue, his sweetheart and wife of 63 years. Ken retired from Scott Paper Company. An excellent machinist, he was called when there was a tough problem and would get the paper machines rolling again. Ken enjoyed hunting, camping, crabbing, being a volunteer fireman, writing letters to the editor, and playing baseball and ping pong with family. He died with love, humor and kindness in his heart. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Austin and Edith Marion (Warren) White; his brother, Frederick; and his grandson, Jeff White. Ken leaves behind his wife, Ruth Maxine (Tissue) White; sons, Ken (Holly), Steve (Kathy) and Brad White; his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jamieson and Alicia White; and his great-grandchildren, Teagan and Cecil.
