Lauriene Thompson, a long-time resident of the Puget Sound area, went to the loving arms of her savior the 9th of February, 2013 with her daughter and son-in-law at her side.
Born in Pawnee, Nebraska, Lauriene enjoyed the mid-west attending college for two years before taking a position with TWA as a flight attendant. Later, she worked for several years as a secretary. After meeting Howard and starting a family, she devoted her time as a full time mom.
Lauriene loved time with her family, good food and socializing with friends from church. She dearly enjoyed her weekly trips to Cocoa Nails, where the ladies treated her like a queen. Lauriene had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.
Lauriene was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thompson and her sister, Lorna Krueger.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Drews (Jerry Drews); son, Bradley Thompson (Linda Thompson); and several grandchildren, Jason Drews, Josh Drews, Janelle Drews, Barnden Thompson, Lauren Thompson and Robbie Thompson, all of whom live in the local area and brought great joy to her life.
Memorial gifts in memory of Lauriene may be made to Evergreen Hospice.
