Leonard John Erickson

April 7, 1918 - Jan. 14, 2014 Leonard was born in Cle Elum, WA to proud parents, George and Vivian Erickson. He spent most of his young life in the Sunnyside area of Snohomish Co. on a family farm. Leonard joined the Navy at the onset of World War II, and was attached to the 54th Naval construction Battalion. He was stationed in many different areas of the world while serving. Shortly after returning he went back to work for the County. He worked for them until his retirement. Leonard loved his hunting and fishing trips. He also loved his horse riding days. He went on cross country back packing trips that went from Canada to Southern Oregon. Leonard was also a wonderful dancer and didn't want to miss a dance. He has continued to be very active in his social life, including over 20 years wintering in Arizona. He leaves his son, Robert (Glenyce) Erickson; grandchildren, Wade (Nancy) Erickson, Stacey (Garth) Renando; five great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; he also leaves his partner, Marion Hughes; her daughters, Jackie Lewis and Bobbie Jones; and their children, Derek and Daryn Lewis, Amy Velasquez, Trevor Jones; and seven great grandchildren. He will join his wife of 49 years, Elsie; grandson, Dan; parents; and brother, Ray. His love of life will be missed by all. At his request there will be no services.
