Mildred Ann Struble

In loving memory of our dear mom and grandma, Millie Struble, who was called home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2013. There will be a celebration of life on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Refuge Church, 2701 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, at 2 p.m. Millie was born in Vancouver, BC on December 17, 1932, the youngest child of Erling and Siri Evensen. She moved to the States at 12 years old with her mother and graduated from Siuslaw High School, Florence, Oregon in 1950. She moved to Crescent City, California and worked as a telephone operator. There she met Warren Struble whom she was married to from 1954 until his passing in 1993. They had five children (2 died young). They moved up the coast and settled in Everett in 1965. Millie was fun to be with. She loved all wildlife and nature. She cared for injured birds and pets and took in stray or lost animals and returned them home. Millie was a loving wife, mom and grandma. She adored her nine grandchildren and all of them (traveling from as far as New Jersey and Japan) gathered at her bedside in her final days. She is survived by sister, Marie Walker of Victoria, B.C.; daughters, Becky Greene, Cathy Keehnel (Steve), Diana Gruber (Erich); and grandchildren, Linnea Gruber, Ryan Gruber, Dawn Keehnel, Tyler Greene, Kyle Greene, Jen Gruber, Gabe Keehnel, Cassie Gruber and Sierra Keehnel.
