Natalie Alice Humphries went home to heaven on February 16, 2014. She was born in Seattle, WA to Leon and Anna Aerts on December 29, 1923. The family moved to Monroe, WA when she was 13. She attended Monroe High School. In 1940 Natalie married Fred Woltors of Sultan. They had one son. Natalie married Wm. Howard Humphries of Everett on February 17, 1954. Over the next sixty years they lived in Everett, Lake Stevens and Marysville. Natalie had a long career as an educational assistant in the Lake Stevens School District. She worked at both Lake Stevens Jr. High and Pilchuck Elementary School. After retiring, she became a devoted volunteer with the Puget Sound Blood Center in Everett where she greeted donors for over 24 years. In her spare time, Natalie enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, and painting. Natalie was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Frank Aerts; and her oldest son, Jerry Woltors. She is survived by Howard, her husband of sixty years; sons, Paul (Lesley) Humphries and Mathew Humphries; granddaughters, Molly Humphries (Andrew French), Rachael (Thomas) Thorp and Nikki Humphries; and great-grandchildren, Alex and Aiden French and Rylee and Landon Thorp. No services will be held at this time.
