Paul A. Remillard passed away in Spokane, Washington in comfort and peace with his current wife, Laurie (Johnson), and family by his side.
Paul was born in Seattle, Washington to William Charles and Marie Della (Kerr) Remillard on December 25, 1940. He grew up in Seattle and graduated from O'Dea Catholic High School in 1958.
Paul served in the U.S. Marines Corp from 1960 to 1966 as a helicopter technician in advanced electronics and was honorably discharged.
After the military, he worked for Boeing on the Minuteman Project as an electronics technician. Paul briefly worked for Honeywell as a Quality Control Tech testing torpedoes in Elliot Bay on the Mark 47 and 37 Projects. He then continued in the electronics repair field at National Cash Register (NCR) for a number of years in the 1970's and retired from QFC in the 1990s.
After he retired, he was the sole proprietor of 12th Avenue Laundromat located on Capitol Hill, Seattle for 13 years, where he loved to meet people and fix the equipment.
He married Carole (Surridge) in 1971 and settled in Mill Creek, Washington. They raised six children together.
He is survived by his six children: Tammy (Fred) Olander, Ken (Mineko) Remillard, Erik (Heather) Remillard, Neil Remillard, Britt Remillard and Syrina (Evan) Wirkkala; 10 grandchildren: Keith, Jean-Paul, Andrew, Anthony, Sean, Jaryd, Kiah, Carson, Aliya, and Penelope; and one great-grandson, Kyle. He also leaves behind his sister, Sharon (Philip) Lehwalder; his nephew, Philip (Lisa) Lehwalder; and niece, Andrea (Sean) Phillips.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Carole.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church 6215 196th Street Southwest Lynnwood, WA 98036 on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
