Never a more heartfelt expression of love can accurately describe the life of Leslie Carroll Price, who passed away on September 6, 2011 in Monroe, WA.
Carroll was born on July 2, 1912 in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada.
Affectionately known as Dad and Grandpa by his family, Carroll lived most of his life in Sultan, WA with his wife and best friend of over 50 years, Mary, who preceded him in death.
Carroll worked many jobs, with most of them for the State Highway Department, until retirement in 1972. Carroll enjoyed several leisure activities. One could often find him working at home in his garden or working on the daily crossword puzzle. He was known for his humor and love of music. Holidays and family reunions were a festive time of songs and stories. Carroll loved to travel and spend time studying rock formations and astronomy. In his later years he enjoyed riding his bicycle and eating his meals with his extended family at The Dutch Cup.
Carroll is also preceded in death by his youngest son, Steve.
He is survived by his three sons, Martin, who cared for him for many years, and his wife, Deanna, Gene and his wife Fern, Gary and his wife Gloria. He is also survived by Barbra, Steve's wife; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Carroll will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
