Patricia K. Fritch

Patricia K. Fritch

Patricia entered this life on April 21, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York and entered into rest on April 25, 2013 at the age of 69 years in Coronado, California.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 41 years, Thomas Fritch M.D.; daughter, Suzanne Atencio; son, Charles Fritch; brother,
Anthony Koerner M.D.; soon-to-be granddaughter, Patricia Rose Atencio; and extended family and countless friends.
Patricia was a matriarch in the truest sense of the word and cared for, and watched over, her extended family as a wife, mother, confidant and best friend. Prior to starting her family, Pat's care for others was also evident in her career as a registered nurse specializing in neonatal care. She resided on her beloved Lake Shoecraft for the past six years but raised her family in Mill Creek, WA and Lompoc, CA, where she spent a treasured 14 years. Pat was a dedicated leader and supporter of Campfire USA and inspired numerous young women. She also found pleasure in belonging to the Red Hat Ladies with whom she shared fun lunches and outings. She treasured her flowers, which she grew in every flower box, windowsill, or small patch of dirt she could find. Pat especially loved her peaceful lake house, the beauty of Coronado, her Dr. Seuss paintings and having a glass of champagne, just because. She truly had a zest for life that inspired many.
Pat's greatest joy, outside of her family, was socializing with her myriad
friends, encompassing everyone from doctor's wives to cleaning ladies, who regardless of whether they lived across the street or across the country, could all expect phone calls wondering how they were doing and what she could do for them. She was truly a larger than life presence who made every person she came in contact with feel like the center of the universe. If you met Pat once she was a friend for life. She was fortunate enough to travel around the world as a young woman, which sparked a life-long desire to see new places and cultures and brought her experiences home to share with those around her. She made life as colorful as possible, both literally and figuratively, with a beautiful smile for everyone she met.
A Celebration of Life Service was held May 4, 2013 in California and another will be held July 6, 2013 in Stanwood, WA.
Cremation and Inurnment will be private.
