Benjamin E. Clark
Feb. 22, 1993 - May 18, 2011
None of that is enough. In fact, no words will ever be adequate. He was the love of my life.
He leaves behind an extensive circle of family and friends. We invite the LSHS community to join Ben's family in a Celebration of Life, being held at the Lake Stevens High School PAC. The celebration will be Wednesday May 25, 2011 at 6 p.m.
In lieu of any flowers, the very best gift you could ever give is to send us written stories of Ben (address is Beth Adolphsen, 303 - 91st Avenue NE, Ste #E502, Box 220, Lake Stevens, WA 98258). There are two donation ideas - Ben loved the radio station C89.5 FM, KNHC, because it played great music and it is a student run station out of a local high school. Beth, I was a student of yours back about 2006. I decided to look you up and see how you are and stumbled across your son's obit. I am so sorry Beth! I sure didn't expect to find bad news but you never know. Life is so unkind at times no doubt. You were the happiest, proudest mom that I recall and was so evident when your whole being lit up the room when you spoke of Ben in class. You would probably remember me best as the girl who took notes on EVERYTHING you said in front of that blackboard. You were a great teacher and I always have respected you. I should have contacted you sooner (where has the time gone?) anyway, I just wanted to extend my condolences and say I hope life is getting better for you. You will be in my prayers.

Beth, I am so sorry to hear about your Ben. I can't imagine your pain and what you are going through. I remember all the moments you would talk about Ben and the pictures you would show us of Ben in class when I was a student of yours at EvCC. My son Chad and Ben were classmates and sat together this year in CAI. Chad has only great things to say about Ben. Know that you are in my thoughts.

Dear Beth and Steve; We are so truly sorry for your loss. Because we live so far away we didn't get to see you very frequently but we can tell from all the information posted about your Ben that he was a really special guy. This also shows that you were truly special parents.
Beth, I remember how special you and Ben were to my folks, Aunt Flo and Uncle Mel. They often talked about you and Ben and they worried about the two of you being alone until you met Steve. Please know, you have been and will continue to me in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying for God to provide the strength and understanding that only he can provide.

I personally did not know your Ben, but my son did and after hearing all the wonderful things last night at his Celebration of Life I so wish I had the opportunity to share in the glow of Ben as my son and many others did.

Though we hadn't had a class together in several years, you always greeted me by name and with a smile. I remember how you always had such enthusiasm for everything and everyone. I've never met anyone who cared so much about everyone. Last year at track I was happy to see you turn out and you brought so many smiles to practices. You were always so encouraging. Though we weren't ever really close, you've always been present since that first day in math class back in 6th grade. We'll miss you, Ben. Thanks for all the smiles and laughter over the years.

Beth I was a student of yours and I remember the love that you had for Ben in the stories that you told in the classroom everyday, it melted my heart as I saw your face change when you talked about your son. Through your many stories anyone could tell without a doubt that Ben was the center of your world. I can still get a chuckle of the stories you told about patching up his leg with a maxi pad after his motorcycle accident, when he hit his head on the table when he was little, and the hard time he gave you about his older canine sibling.
I hope you know how many hearts are with you at this time, mine included. What amazing experiences he gave you. May god give you answers, and may you find peace somehow. May Ben grace you in your dreams and speak to your heart in moment of reflection. May you look back and know you were the every bit the mom he needed was meant to have.

I will never forget that you found my first doppelganger. You have no idea how long I looked for him, and how much that actually meant to me. And I'll always remember our jaunts down to the Apartment and our surprisingly educated conversations that I thought I would never have.
