This is sad. I havent seen Johnny since he came to pick up some stuff at my house in 1979. I used to play basketball with him up at the Gilead park near the pool.I remember sometimes he would play bare foot. The guy had the flattest feet I have ever seen. He was really a good guy. I wish his family the best in these tragic circumstances.

I'll never forget Johnny as long as I live - He was the life of any party, gathering, poker game, lunch at Kirk's, camp out or midnight rendezvous in our cars. He accepted everyone and would do anything for you. When he left Mount Gilead it was that big heart of his we all missed the most. I was talking to Sherman about some of his antics last night on the phone. My condolences to his family - he was one of the good ones.

Today my world came crashing down and I was engulfed in a wrenching pain with the loss of this loved one. Yet another devastating event for anyone, but when the loss is unexpected the pain is beyond words. When we look into our hearts and we think we are sorrowful when in fact we see the truth that we are weeping for the delight of which we have known. The courage, uplifting spirit, and mannerism that Johnny kept on a daily basis could be the inspiration that we all look to have or someday find. I will miss you and our ongoing frienship
Thank you for the years of camaraderie.

Like Trent mentioned, when I think of Johnny B "Sookie" Soulier, a big smile comes across my face. I have some fond memories of times with John and many of us here in Mt. Gilead share your loss. May God's healing hand be with the Soulier family and the many friends he touched throughout his life.

Dear Kathy and Family,
Sending my sympathy on the death of your beloved Johnny.
I have many memories of John from his school days in Mount Gilead ... camping out under the stars, hanging out at each others homes, fun adventures in his old white pickup truck.
He had a zest and appreciation for life that many people never find.
Thinking of him always brings a smile to my face.
I will certainly miss him and will cherish the memories I have of John.
blessings to you in this difficult time ... Trent

Kathy, Johnny will definately be missed in the City of Everett Water Dept. He was a visionary and a driver as far as our Meter Shop was concerned. He wanted it to be the best and most efficiently run shop in the country and he was able to talk the City into spending the money to accomplish that. He did such a good job that Neptune Meter Co. used Everett as their unofficial poster child. Other cities called him to help solve some of their metering problems. Johnny was also very devoted to you. Kathy came first. If you had a problem that took priority over anything else. Johnny was a good man.

I am so sorry to hear of Johnny's passing. I am sure he loved his family with all the passion and dedication with which he loved life.
I worked with Johnny in the '70s first under Bill then with Billy as our boss. We shared some great times and many memories. He was the Best Man at my wedding (35 years ago).
Through the years and miles we had lost touch, but he remains an inspiration to me to enjoy life as long as God allows.
You all have my sympathy and love. We will be praying for God's strength to see you through your difficult time.
