Dear girls,
My memories and friendship with your mother are from our work relationship at the Lynnwood Library. I remember how much loved each one of you and her grand-daughter, Rosie. I also remember her beloved Jim being away at a meeting for work. Coming home unexpected, walking into the library with his bags in his hands....I said, "One moment...I'll get her." She came around from the backroom of the library. Looked at me and I smiled..."Jim is here for you." She looked all over the library with her eyes...saw him standing with his luggage. He dropped them and she leaped into his arms...they kissed, he hugged her, he put her on the ground and they kissed again. They spoke quietly and she said goodbye...then she looked at me, her face flushed...and I said, "Isn't love grand?!" She nodded, smiled her perfect Betty smile and went back to work. He was home and waiting for her shift to end. I am so very sorry for your loss...no all of us...we have many nuggets to glean from your mom...treasure each one.
