Robert Fraser Obituary

Robert Lyons Fraser

Robert Lyons Fraser, resident of Camano Island, WA, died on April 12, 2011 at the age of 65 after suffering from a brain aneurysm.
He was born March 25, 1946 in Seattle to his late parents Robert and Eleanore Fraser of Marysville and Camano Island. Robert graduated from Marysville Pilchuck High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy for two years. He retired from Edmonds Community College as Director of Maintenance following 32 years of service.
Robert enjoyed his retirement years fishing, hunting and boating. However, what brought him the most joy was traveling with his wife and friends and spending time with his family and three grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; daughters, Lisa Fraser and Jennifer Rex (husband Tracy); and his three grandchildren, Austin (7), Emily (6) and Carson (2).
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd. in Lynnwood, WA.
The Alzheimer's Association was a charity dear to Robert's heart in honor of his parents. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the National Alzheimer's Association.

My thoughts go out to the Fraser family. I worked with Bob for a few summers at Edmonds Community College. Besides working we spent some time fishing, crabbing, and even got to go to his "secret" hunting spot with about 3,000 of his closest friends.

I met Bob in kindergarten and we became best of friends during grade school. We were street crossing guards together. I always have fond memories of Bob and would see him once in awhile in Lynnwood. Only in the last few years had we begun to reconnect. I am greatful to have known Bob. He was always a great guy. Someone I admired. I will miss him. My Best to his family.

'Rob and I grew up together and had alot o fun huntng at Beaver Creek. From the time we were great hunters with our BB guns to hunting deer for real. Alot of good times around the campfire swaping stories of our Dads and days hunting. I will miss Rob and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I was very saddened to read of the passing of Robbie. We lived across Sprague St. from him and his family when they lived on Hummingbird Hill in Edmonds. Robbie and I had a lot of fun together exploring the neighborhood and Shell Creek. I have attached a picture of Robbie (on the right) and my brother Bruce in their Tin Man outfits at the Edmonds Kids Parade. Bill Blandin, Camano Island, WA
