Kae Kolkana
Kae is survived by her husband of 33 years, Richard "Dick"; sister, Barbara Innes, of Seattle; step-daughters, Tammy (Dick) Caldwell, Barb (Cliff) Johnston and Karen (Mike) Emory; grandchildren, Michaela, Brandon, Dallas and Ian; niece, Cindy (Kevin) Johannes; nephew, Chris Innes and their families.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Innes; father, Robert Innes; and brother, Jim (Spike) Innes. She left us a note saying as I leave you, "If you remember me in tears, don't remember. If you remember me laughing and joking, remember me always."
A celebration of Kae's life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Mobile Country Club Clubhouse, 1415 84th St. SE, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I was Kaes roommate when we taught at Port Gardner Middle School. She was Kae Innes. She taught me how to play the guitar! She was one of the kindest people I have ever meet!
Her and Dick were the cutest couple. My first years teaching were successful because of Kae. I retired in 2016 after teaching and coaching 46 years.

"Miss Innes" was also a teacher of mine at Port Gardner/ South Jr., she taught me so much. Thinking of you "Mr. Kolkana" so sorry for your loss. Both of you are such sweet special people & she will be sadly missed by many.

Dick and family, So sorry to see that Kae has passed away. I know you will all miss her so much; but remember you will always have her in your heart and mind and there is no way you can ever not see that smile and that will be your sign she is with you for all time.

"Miss Innes" was my home ec teacher at South Junior/Port Gardner. She helped develop my lifelong love of sewing. I have great memories of laughing and learning in her classes. Thank you and you will be missed.
