It was with a great sense of loss when I learned of Barbara's passing. No words can adequately express the sorrow I feel at this time. She was truly a special person and a wonderful friend. I will forever cherish the friendship we shared, and the wonderful times we spent together. I will miss Barbara; she touched my life in so many ways. Our lives have been blessed by her love. We pray God gives each family member the strength you need to endure the days ahead.
With love and support,

I worked with Barb when she first came to Marysville Middle School. We shared a common planning period and I got to know her pretty well. She was an absolutely dedicated teacher and an inspirational person to all who knew her. Her work will live on in the many students and staff whose lives she touched. I will forever remember her warm smile and her gentle laughter. She will be missed.

To Leroy and the Drake family - So sorry to read of the death of your wife and mother. While I didn't know Barbara, Leroy was a valued colleague in the Edmonds School District years ago and we followed the sports activities of you fellows as your proud dad would share about your achievements. Blessings to you all.......Louise Baker

I will never forget what a wonderful and inspiring teacher Mrs. Drake was for my son. Being serious about school was not a forte of his in elementary school. She will always be remembered by Ed & I as wonderful, caring teacher & person. Edmonds District was their loss and Marysville's gain. Years later when I went back to substituting I found her at Marysville Middle School and I told her personally how much I appreciated her professionalism and what she had done for my son.

The Lord is ever near, especially when you lose a loved one so very dear. From your eyes He will tenderly wipe each and every tear. Trust Him and rest in Him for He will bring comfort and will remove all your fear. Look to the heavens for your answers are just a prayer away. May the peace of our Lord and Savior be yours during this difficult time. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27. Troy Toler and Family
