Randall LaPoint Obituary

Randall David LaPoint

Randall "Randy", age 47, was born in Bremerton, WA on May 6, 1963. He passed away peacefully at his home in Everett, WA on April 18, 2011.
Randy attended schools in the Everett School District and then received his High School Diploma from Lynnwood Community College. The following years he worked as a supervisor for LaPoint Leasing. Randy, also, worked as a tow truck driver for Tri-County Towing, a driver for Waste Management and as a concrete truck driver for Rinker Concrete; i.e., Cemex.
Randy cared deeply for his family, friends and pets. His special hobbies were keeping tropical fish, his computer and he had a vast collection of DVD and CD's. Randy loved to drive and would choose to drive rather than fly, if he had a choice. Randy was an avid reader, usually preferring historical and political books. His knowledge of history was formidable and he seemed to be well versed in any era mentioned. He also loved to debate and had strong opinions on almost any subject mentioned.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, James and Evelyn Stanley, Louis and Lucille LaPoint; three uncles, Gale LaPoint, Delbert Stanley and James H. Stanley.
Randy is survived by his parents, Jack and RuthAnn LaPoint, of Mill Creek, WA; his sister, Jacqueline LaPoint; and her daughter, Paige, of Lake Stevens, WA. Special mention must go to his pal, Baron, his miniature pinscher.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7 at North Creek Presbyterian Church, 621 164th Street SE, Mill Creek, Washington 98012.
Contributions in his honor may be made to www.paws.com.
Arrangements are under the care of Solie Funeral Home and Crematory.

Randy had dated my sister who lived with me for awhile. He spent a lot of time at my home. He was always such a funny and happy person. His practical jokes were great. I remember him filling my basement with packing peanuts in the summer so that he could make snow angels. He would search the house with my son at bedtime looking for the bad guys in the closets. he was such a sweet guy. I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Randy!

Dear Jack, RuthAnn, and Jackie--So long since I have seen any of you, but you have often been in my thoughts. Especially now as I pray for your family. I remember taking Jackie and Randy to Sunday School when they were kids along with my own kids. And now, all grown up, I haven't seen them for years, but I hope Randy had a good life. I know he is happy now in Heaven. I regret that he was taken so early from you, but I know he had the opportunity to know Jesus so you will be re-united someday. I called all our kids and they join me in asking the Lord to bring you comfort during these difficult days. Love to you all.

To Jack, Ruth Ann, Jackie and Paige: May the Lord be with you in the months ahead and may you know the Peace of Christ's healing and wholeness. May you continue to cherish each day to its fullest and may the Risen Lord continue to use your lives to reach out and bring healing and hope to others. God Bless you... Pastor Bob

So sorry for your loss of such a wonderful son and brother. I was privileged to have known Randy and spent untold hours together, most absolutely filled with laughter and joy . Music was the greatest thing we shared, literally hundreds of albums and concerts, big and small, together.Metallica ,Megadeth, Raven,The Accused,Alice Cooper(New Year's Eve) Dio(also New Year's Eve),even The Charlie Daniels Band at the Evergreen State Fair( swore we'd never admit it!),life with Randy around could NEVER be dull ,even for a minute! Smart, determined and would do anything for a friend. He'll be missed, but will always live in my heart.I know God's got him now. Love you forever, Brother!
