Barbara Murphy Obituary
Barbara Jean Murphy (Beatty)
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Murphy; her daughter, Mary Jane Murphy; great-grandson, DeMarco Gray; her parents, Edward and Lucille Beatty (Bowers); and all of her siblings.
She is survived by her children, Mike Murphy, Barbara Garcia, Richard Murphy and Steven Murphy all of Tulalip, WA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She resided in Tacoma, WA for many years where she met her husband and raised their five children. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put others before herself. She was a warm, kind hearted, loving woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, WA.
An interfaith service will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 starting at 6 p.m. at the Tulalip Tribal Center in Tulalip, WA.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 starting at 10 a.m. at the Tulalip Tribal Center in Tulalip, WA.

She is the last of her generation of siblings, and with that, we face a great loss. At the same time, she leaves a family with the same traits of kindness and caring, with a strong determination. In this regard, with those traits in your mind and in your heart, you have the Beatty in you, you carry on with a new generation of Beatty. The Torch has been passed to the next generation. Let the torch light continue to shine as kind and caring as ever, as strong as ever, as determined as ever.
