Georgina Hanser Obituary
Georgina G. Hanser
She was born Georgina Giles on November 9, 1923 in Windsor, Ontario. Along with her family, she moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1936. She married James J. Hanser in 1946 and together they raised their five children in the suburban Detroit area. In 1986 Georgina and Jim retired in Washington State and they settled in Marysville in 1996.
Known as "Mike" to her family and friends, Georgina is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Jim; her daughters, Kathy and Karen; her sons, Jim (wife, Lynn), Tom and Brian (wife, Sue) Hanser; and her grandchildren, Claire and Jacob Hanser.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 11 at Marysville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Georgina's name to her favorite charity organization at www.boystown.org/donate.

What a wonderful tribute to and celebration of Aunt Mike's life. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Seeing your faces brought a flood of warm memories of the many Hanser gatherings of the past. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Uncle Jim, and my cousins, in this time of loss. May your memories and faith sustain you.

I will always remember Aunt Mike's gentle nature and distinctive chuckle. I never heard a cross word from her, and I can still hear her laughter above the others at family gatherings. My condolences to Uncle Jim and his family.

I don't think I ever heard Aunt Mike get angry. She might have sounded concerned from time to time but as her nephew who must have tried every one of her nerves as a young (hyperactive) child, I only remember her laugh. You will be missed, Aunt Mike. Love, Michael

Andy and I send our heartfelt sympathies to the family.
I have only fond memories of Aunt Mike, and I am very happy to have had the pleasure of being around her at all the various parties, backyard picnics, etc. I can still see her smile and hear her laugh.

My condolences to the family of "Aunt Mike." I cherished the Sunday afternoons spent playing with my cousins under the watchful eye of our Aunt! My mind's ear can still hear her infectious chuckle.
