Joseph W. Williams

Joseph W. Williams a member of the Tulalip Tribes, passed away on March 31, 2011 in Monroe, WA. He was born on July 2, 1938 in Monroe.
He served his country in the U.S. Marines, after which he was a local truck driver, worked in the shipyards and was a yarder operator in the woods. His hobbies included fishing in the lakes and rivers.
Joseph was a person who believed in helping all people, no matter what the situation was. He was always there for everyone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; step- daughters, Lynda Wyrsch and Janis Nelson; grandchildren, Bryant Nelson and Michelle Nelson; and seven sisters.
Also surviving him are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and also, his beloved dog and best friend, Gallagher.
The Williams family would like to thank the Elder Care at the tribe and the Garden House in Monroe for the care given to their loved one.
Viewing will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the Tribal Gym, 6700 Totem Beach Road, Tulalip, WA with Funeral Services to follow at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be at Mission Beach Cemetery.
