Leslie Renecker Obituary

Leslie D. Renecker

Leslie D Renecker, born March 30, 1963, died May 11, 2011. She was preceded in death by Grandma Lillian James; her parents, Douglas and Florence Charley and Donald Wood and Stephanie Blackford; and siblings, Larry Charley, Vivian Henry, Linda D. Davis, Michael Charley, and Violet Charley.
She leaves behind loving husband, Rocky H. Renecker; children, David Charley, Joseph Davis, Rocky Renecker Jr. and Alisha Renecker; godchildren, Lorena Charley, Helen Davis and Megan McManis; siblings, Leonard (Carolyn) Charley, Diane Peltier, Stephanie (Jerry) McManis and Ernie (Beverly) Charley; brother-in-law, Marvin R. Davis; grandchildren, Mani Arezmendi, Haliya Charley, Josiah Charley and Able Charley. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
When a loved one passes on, devastating doesn't begin to describe the loss... Leslie D. Renecker had a gigantic life full of intense love and devotion. The year 1989 proves the dedication she had by entering in the smoke house family. In the span of 22 years, not once did she ever stop loving this massive family she became a part of. Leslie D. Renecker was nothing short of compassionate. The wife to Rocky H. Renecker, and their undying love towards each other caused a family to grow with their four children. As a stay-at-home mother, she had a lot of time to be tenacious with informing: Always Respect Your Elders. She believed that if you would just listen to them, you can learn so much. Do not take them for granted. In her 48 years, she touched many people's lives with her kind heart. She'd start caring about you the second she saw you. She had a smile that could light up a city, yet sometimes could be stubborn as a donkey's butt. But no matter what, she was loved by many, whether it was her frybread, her caring soul that would take you in as her own, or the fact that she was always there, for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but she is in a better place now. She will always be in our thoughts and prayers but we all will continue to live on for her and take what she has taught us and share it with this world.
Visitation will take place on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. - 2 p.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home. There will be a 6:00 p.m. Interfaith Service at the Tribal Center. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Tribal Center.
Arrangements are entrusted to Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville.
