Lovita Lake Obituary

Lovita "Lovey" Merrie Lake (Duy-aht)

Born December 29, 1972 and went to the Creator on March 4, 2011.
She will always be remembered for her loving, kind, pure, forgiving spirit which was a gift from the Great Spirit. Especially for her dedication to spending time with family members at Bingo on their special day. She always went out of her way to let them know they were loved and cared for. She especially enjoyed her private times (which were often) with the Creator and Raugu in solemn prayer daily. Upon meeting, Raugu and Lovey knew as they grew to be extreme best friends that the Creator meant as the three of them became as one.
She loved to make and bead things. Always wanting to learn new things to make and to cook. She enjoyed being the part of the Canoe Family. Being with the Canoe Family gave her a new lease on life; she came home renewed and full of life. She especially appreciated being with her people and connected to her family and friends. She loved everyone and everyone loved her! She would enjoy going to church with her Auntie Diane when she was growing up.
She is survived by her companion, Raugu Bavewankesne; children, Sebastian, Devon, and C. J. Lake of Doty, WA; special adopted children, Destiny Charlie, Christopher Michael Wyatt, Lala Hatch, Angel Davis, Raelynn Peltier, "Us-wan" and Kadian Davis; brothers and sisters, Lorena Charley (Dennis), Angie Hull, Tater (Angie) Henderson, Helen Davis (Philetus), Shadow Wolf Wood, Dustin Lasater, Ashlee McManis (Tristan Sr.) and Megan McManis; father, Marvin R. Davis, Larry Buckmaster; other mom, Stephanie McManis; uncles, Leonard (Caroline), Ernie (Beverly) Charley; aunts, Diane (Steve) Peltier, Leslie (Rocky) Renecker and Linda Jean Charley.
She was preceded in death by mother, Linda Darlene (Charley) Davis; uncles, Larry Charley Jr. and Michael T. Charley; aunts, Vivian F. Henry and Violet M. Charlie; grandparents, Doug and Florence Charley, Patsy Nickolauson, Arlene BuckMaster, Donald Wood and Stephanie (Charley) Blackford; and ex-husband, Richard Lake.
Viewing at Schaefer- Shipman Funeral Home on March 10, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A potluck will follow at Stephanie's home afterwards.

To the family of Lovey: Our love and prayers are with you and yours at this sad time. We will always remember Lovey's gentle and kind spirit. Due to our living here in Sun City, AZ, we are sorry we will not be able to attend her memorial service. Even though our loved ones have now entered a spiritual realm, they will always be with us because our "memories are forever".

Love from Auntie Laura Mae and Jerry.
