Phyllis Owens Obituary

Phyllis Jean Owens

Phyllis Jean Owens passed away on March 14, 2011 at Somerset nursing home in Everett, Washington, two days after her 84th birthday. She was battling with Alzheimer condition for several years. Phyllis was born to Pearl and James R. Bernethy in 1927, lived and was raised in the Granite Falls area, until she moved to Everett, Washington and had lived there til her passing on.
She leaves behind her beloved sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Armstrong of Everett, Washington; and three loving children, Linda A. Malone, of Marysville, Washington, William L Sedivec (Skip) II and his wife, Tammie, Gerald L. Sedivec (Jerry) and his wife Debbie, of Snohomish, Washington; Four grandchildren, Dennis P. Malone, Angelic R. Cameron, William L. Sedivec (Billy) III, Shawn Sedivec; and four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and some from her second marriage.
She is predeceased by her two late husbands, William L. Sedivec I and William K. Owens; and her parents, Pearl and James R. Bernethy; five siblings, James Jr. Bernethy, Richard Bernethy, Mae Jones, Robert Bernethy, Patricia Morgan; a granddaughter, Tara L. Malone; and a son-in-law, Dennis L. Malone.
At her request, there will be no funeral service, only a cremation. The family is having a private gathering to honor her on Sunday, March 27.
She will be missed dearly by those she touched with her big heart, by both family and her friends she had made on her life's journey and one day we will be together once again.
We all love her and will miss her dearly.
