Gordon Fredrick "Gordie" Hutchings
Gordon Fredrick Hutchings is survived by his loving wife, Joy Anna Hutchings; his children, Michael Charles Hutchings and wife, Kim, Gordon Fredrick Hutchings Jr. and wife, Kathy, Brian David Hutchings and wife, Julie, Rena Marie Olsen and husband, Jon; his grandchildren, Chris, Pat, Michael, Mindy, Anna, Kayla, Cassie, Matt, Joey; his three great-grandchildren; as well as his three brothers-in-law; and five sisters-in-law.
Gordon was a man who touched and shaped the lives of those around him. One who's humble and caring nature will always be remembered. With a wink in his eye, a smile on his face and a joke from his lips, he will never leave our hearts.
With the recent passing of Gordon, the family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Northwest.
Graveside services will be held for family only.
Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.

Gordon will always remain in my memory, the times we shared, the detailed discussions we enjoyed and just sitting and talking to him. Those memories are priceless to me and will always be. Gordon was a dam good man but I still do not like those little black cigaretts he smoked. Those things were awful but he seemed to enjoy them. Yep, we had many great conversations on the abilities of Boise State football. I know he would have approved of Coach Pedersen leaving the Broncos and joining the Huskies at the UW.

Cousin Gordie re-entered my life several years ago after too long of an absence. I treasure the time we were able to re-connect and will miss my special time with him. Love to all of his family.

Gordy was a very dear friend of mine. He was one of the primary reasons we purchased a home in this compound we refer to as Poverty Flats. We often discussed football and baseball and it's impact on all of us. His support of the Boise State Broncos is probably unequaled around the Northwest. Yes, we had many spirited discussions, usually involving the Broncos and who ever it was they were playing. I will miss him. Goodby Gordy. We will meet again.
