Jackie Griffin Ashenbrenner

Born May 22, 1939 in Grants Pass, OR, Jackie passed away peacefully December 27, 2010 at home in Edmonds, WA surrounded by her family. Jackie was raised in Ellensburg, WA where she met and married Roger Griffin. They moved to Seattle, then Bellevue where they welcomed three daughters. In 1978, Jackie moved to Whidbey Island. Later she moved to Silver Lake to be closer to her family.
In her last five years she looked forward to and treasured the wonderful care and friendship of the staff at Providence Regional Cancer partnership, as her family we are forever grateful. She loved family, home cooking, fishing, gardening, the outdoors, adored friends of all ages. She had a "triumphant spirit" and an immeasurable love for life.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (David) Brooks, Julie Griffin and Becky (Bob) Eilert; and their dad, Roger Griffin; her grandchildren: R.J. (Kryss), Madison, Erin (Andy), Camis (Bill) and Todd; and great-grandsons, Carter, Hudson and Beckham; her sister, Bobbie Healy; nephews, Patrick and Michael; step-sister, Sandy Poolman (and family); Ed Grifka and Jackie's entire Griffin Family.
You are invited to celebrate Jackie's life at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Mukilteo Presbyterian Church, family suggests donations to Providence Regional Cancer Partnership in her name.
