I just miss Brad and Bart and Brent. Only joy and delight and goosebumps and giggles come to mind when I think of them. Great, Solid, Phenomenal guys. Fun Fun Fun. Laughter - unconditionally loyal- I think of them all often. Since they were like big brothers - only at times nicer :) The thought of them lifts me up. I keep their families and their Mom in my prayers. Vern too. Love You Lynne and Regan

From March, 1979. Love and miss you Brad. Steve Kramer

My thoughts and prayers go out to you Lynne and Bart Regan and Vern and Jim and family,
Lynne was always the most incredible Mom - you knew you could count on her to take care of things and keep things in order and provide for all of us kids. I loved to watch how she would provide...care for and take care of us all as we were little kids. You just knew she could handle anything.
She made the perfect boys....Brent, Brad and Bart. The perfect boys. I used to go to their house with my brothers Drew and David. Drew hung out with Brent. Brad with David. Bart and I used to look at each other and think...oh...no.... he wanted to hang with the boys for sure. They all had so much fun... playing and doing all the boy things. I mostly watched and just loved them all.
Brad seemed to be the one who was almost like a whisper...in my recollection he just seemed to never cause any problems...or get into any trouble like the other boys....(good trouble-you know muddy, dirty, whatever) He was just a beautiful baby, who turned into a beautiful boy and handsome man who was talented, kind and beautiful-really a sweet heart of a person.
It's a sobering reality to realize how life can change...how important it is to care for those you love. Lynne's boys loved her like nothing else...it was just the most incredible bond between them. When Regan came along they and we all just loved her and cherished this beautiful little sister. The Mackies -very special people-strong, good and so loved.
Just don't know what to say except God Bless You All, Love Pam

i remember the first time i met Brad after a baseball game in Edmonds while Bart, Don Long and myself gathered. My first impression of Brad was the reflection of a kind, compassionate person who was more concerned of how others were and not of himself. My prayers reach out to you Bart as i think of you frequently and of the fond memories we both experienced, as well as playing baseball. Blessings to you and all of your family!

We were so saddened to hear of Brad's passing. Your children are so fortunate to have you; you all are an inspiration with your family love and care for each other. We enjoyed knowing Brad, and it was always a pleasure to have him as a patient. Love you guys and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Life passes us by like the wind on a cool summer's day. Making the most of that short life is all we can do. Brad made the most of the day and gave his all. He has left us with fond memories of a handsome, kind, cheerful, gracious, heart warming soul. A class act all the way... And because of my hope and faith I have no doubt I will see Brad again. Rock with the Angels Brad God bless......

Ever since we were young, I always thought my cousin Brad was so handsome, kind and such a gentlemen. Every time we saw each other his face would light up with a huge smile. Even the last time I saw him, which was only in June, he knew who I was and gave me that great big smile...I will miss him.
Thank you Aunt Lynne and Jim for all that you have done to take care of Brad and all that you are doing now to take care of Bart. You are an angels. God's blessing on you and all the family.
Your Cousin,
Kathleen Edman

I did not know Brad but any one who can produce their own obituary, one that is so character defining, deserves a salute and respect - I offer both.

My heart and prayers go out to my friend Bart, Lynne, and family. I have fond memories of Brad in school, although he was older...I was in Bart's class and loved the Mackie boys...I can still see Brad smiling and showing genuine interest in everyone he met...what an athlete and friend to all! I always thought Brad and Bart were one the most handsome guys I had ever laid eyes on! I miss Bart and pray for a miracle for him...I have witnessed a miracle, so I believe. The world has lost, but another angel is now in heaven. Lynne, as a Mom with a special needs son, I can't even imagine what you are going through, but my heart goes out to you so!! Love and blessings

It's been over 30 years since I have seen Brad. We met when I attended Everett Community College, back in the early 1980's. He asked me on a date, cooked me dinner and we remained casual friends for a couple years thereafter. I was sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

My thoughts are with all the Mackie's.
In high school, I was the "foreigner", even though I was only from Canada. Brad was always so kind and sweet to me! My memories of him have always been kept with a smile! He was a good man and always will be missed! RIP Brad, you will never be forgotten.
