Darrel, so sorry I missed seeing you this last month. My wife (Hoang) & I always spoke of you and enjoyed those many times at the Pine Cone Cafe talking of days gone by. We had many a good time over coffee there. After the Pine Cone closed up I didnt see much of you except the times at Kathol Roofing when I would tow in one of the broken trucks for you guys and Edmonds Towing. I have been very busy lately and now sad I wasnt able to see you before you skipped out on us to see the Big Guy in the sky. Give a good work to him for the rest of us OK? Hope to see you again up there one day. Thanks for your many years of service to our nation in the US Army. Bet Bosnia has never forgotten your tour there either!!! Your memory wont disappear from us and I will be tipping a cup of Joe in your memory once again. God Bless and Keep you Darrel. Look over your family and point the good way for each of them. We all will remember the good times. Edmonds will miss you as will we each day. Yep, I still plan on returning to Vietnam with my wife for an extended stay. Since it is the land of coffee growing, I will be drinking coffee as usual and no doubt at times wondering how many cups you drank that day too.
Sleep well my friend.

Pam, Tara, Erin, Cameron & Gavin - The entire extended Polzin family grieves with you during this difficult time. There are no words to say that will make everything "okay". But know this - we all stand, not behind you, but with you. Lean on us, we'll help hold you up. Our love, hugs, thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

Darrel was a great brother-in-law. I am so glad that I had the chance this past summer to share a trip with him, my sister, and my parents to Washington,D.C. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

I only met Darrel once. That's all it took for me to see where Cameron got his big heart from. My heart goes out to the entire Kathol family during this time. May solace find you and peace overcome you as thoughts of Mr. Darrel Kathol becoming an eternal guardian come to fruition.

Darrel "The Man" was my roommate, and my best man when I got married. I'll always remember his love of acting in high school and shooting pool together. We hadn't seen each other much recently, but I'm shocked and saddened to hear of his passing, and my thoughts and prayers go out to you.

So sorry to read about Darrel. We were classmates and friends at Edmonds High so many years ago. Great times as young fellows with bondless energy and dreams. Lost track of each other as so often happens, I pray that he had a good life and family.
