To the Family of Darrell Luke:
For as long as I can remember, Darrell and Wilhelmina were constants in my church family. They were such humble, down-to-earth folks. If you needed help with something or an encouraging word, you could count on them! Just a couple of weeks before Darrell needed to go into the hospital, we had a great conversation about our faith and the promises God has given to us to help us with anything that comes our way in this life. Both Darrell and Wilhelmina were such an inspiration in their steadfast faith. I will never forget ether of them.

He was such a great person, as was Wilhelmina. I spent too many years with them as an employee of their business to think otherwise. What the man did for me and my family, I would never, ever begin to pay back. Besides keeping me employed, I learned so much from him. Not only about cars and trucks, but about people, and life. Though I failed to keep in contact in with him in the later years, I thought of him often. God doesn't put too many people like that on this earth. I am a better person for having known him. RIP in Darrell. Thank you and God Bless you.

Darrell was an important part of the family that God has brought together at Madison Community. HIs joy, trust in his God, and his love for family and friends was obvious even to a casual acquaintance. He hugged me as I left to return overseas, asking me to pray for the miracle he needed! Now God, in His eternal wisdom, has seen fit to move him up. He will be missed and his memory honored.

Darrell was an insirpation. Everey day I saw him he smiled no matter how he felt. I am honored to have met him, even if for only a short time, he still made a lasting impression. God bless.

Darrell was a man of integrity, a humble and honest man, who always made others feel glad to be around him. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

If we all had just a bit of his positiveness, understanding, love and his great everlasting smile-the world would be a better place. As an employee of Darrell I learned great respect for the service professional and small business owner; I am thankful for that.

As former neighbors of Darrell and Wilhemina, we became friends over the years and shared tidbits of our lives.....it is hard to think of no longer being able to enjoy Darrell's upbeat ways, but he will still remain in our hearts and thoughts, as does Wilhemina. We moved to Everett from Yakima and bought gas at the station when I was in high school; then did not meet Darrell again until we moved to Upper Ridge Road, so were blessed to have the Lukes in our lives for many years. Our condolences to all the family.....Sandra and Paul Babcock

Pops,
I am going to miss you very much. We have been very close since I retired and you got me into wood working. I am going to miss the smile and talks we would have. The trips over the mountains. You were a very humble man always helping people and didn't want anything in return. I always had a hard time getting close to people since Viet Nam but you were one of the very few I did get close to. We had some great times! We would usually measure the board twice and then cut it short. In the 44 years I have known you I never seen you get mad. The last 7 1/2 years battle with cancer I never heard you complain, you took every day with a smile and dealt with each day one day at a time. You were always saying I am like a bad penny and will not go away. You are right as I will never forget you in my heart.

To Fran's family,
I am so sorry to read about Fran's passing. I knew Fran and Wilhelminia when we attended the Beverly Park Alliance Church when Norm Hutchison was pastor. We were together frequently with Norm. So dissapointed that there will be no service. I did not know that Wilhelminia had died. Wayne, I would like to have seen you and the family. Marvel, my wife, passed away a year ago in Feb. Would appreciate a phone call from you: (425 438 8479). I am remarried and live at Ancora in South Everett. May our Lord comfort you and guide you at this difficult time.

Darrell and Ann, I am so saddened by your loss. Your dad and mom were the best people ever. Your dad gave me my first job back in high school, and was always there for everyone who ever need a hand.I still use a phrase I first heard uttered from you dad, " If it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer". The world is a lesser place without you father in it.

I remember Darrell Luke as an employee of Jack Webb's Texaco station in Granite Falls. I was a high school student, and Darrell would be visible around town as well as at work. I remember him as an honest, dedicated and devout man whose word you could trust. He had a good sense of humor and would give a " good day's work for a day's pay". I wish the best for his family at this time.

Couldn't ask for a better neighbor & friend. Darryl is the epitome of what a real Christian man looks like. We may not have been blood related, but we were heart related. He was like a father to me & grandfather to my kids. Him & Tim always enjoyed talking about woodworking projects & other mechanical stuff. The kids each have a special woodworking project that Grandpa Luke made special just for them. He was always willing to lend you a hand no matter what. He helped me recently in his woodshop make some portable saddle racks for me & Kaitlin. We loved him dearly & will miss him terribly. I pray for peace with his family & know that he is dancing in heaven with his beautiful wife Wilhelmina.
