Dwayne C. Shafer

Dwayne was born on October 28, 1935 and passed away peacefully at home on March 27, 2013, with his wife, Barbara, at his side.
Dwayne is survived by his children, Rod, Kim (Jon), Min, and Tahnya (Nick) Shafer; step-sons, John
(Michelle), Scott (Marryn) Mathis; grandchildren,
Bradley, Stephanie, Chris, Jake, Brady, Kailey, Mason, and Niya; great-grandchildren, Sofia, Jake, Haley, Aaliyah and Carter.
His sons, Keith and Brad, and granddaughter, Tabitha, preceded him in death.
Dwayne enlisted in the USMC at 17 and was a Korean War Veteran. His 30 years in Boeing Quality Assurance/Management was his career highlight.
Dwayne was an avid fisherman, boater, and craftsman. He shared his passion with buddies, Skip and Mike.
A memorial service will be held April 20, 2013, 10 a.m. at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville, WA.
