E. Garvin Holman

E. Garvin Holman, 94, recently residing in Mountlake Terrace, WA, passed December 11, 2011 due to natural causes. Garvin was born in 1916 in the city of Hobbs, New Mexico and was the son of Beulah Mae Garvin and William Proctor Holman. After growing up in Texas and attending local college, Garvin married Nola Ducote in 1939 in Dallas, Texas.
Being in sales, Garvin and Nola traveled to and resided in various states such as Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and California before finally settling down in Washington state in the city of Edmonds in the late 1950s. Garvin was a dedicated father and husband whose main hobby was making jewelry in his spare time.
Garvin's gentle and kind spirit and great sense of humor will be greatly missed.
Garvin is survived by his eldest son and wife, Garvin Jr. and Welly; daughter and husband, Theresa and Gordon Williams; son, Michael; and son and wife, Joseph and Tuuli; four grandchildren, Nathan, Makenzie, Janelle, and Sonny; as well as numerous cousins; other family members; and friends.
Garvin was predeceased by his father in 1925; mother 1974; and other siblings over the years; as with second son, Jerry, in 1963; and loving wife, Nola, in 2002.
A special thanks to Ramona and family for the loving, respectful, and dedicated care provided at her adult family care home and Linda from Snohomish County Hospice care.
Garvin is buried at Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline, Washington.
