Ed Bucklin was a funny-funny man. Ed had a sense of humor that radiated kindness, caring and confidence.
As a 13 year old Caddy at Everett Golf and CC ,I spent many hours learning and growing up under Ed as the "CaddyMaster" He was one of the Mean-Old -Men that kept us Caddys in line. Taught us the value of hard work, doing the job right the first time ,showing up on time , and the importance of making the "Right Bet on the first Tee"
In those days Ed was the only golfer who could drive the ball over the hill on No 13 hole--Cut the corner on No 3 over the trees. He could play you with a Driver ,Wedge and putter and beat almost anyone
But best memory of Ed was his good humor. He as truly one of the good guys.
My condolences to his family. I was lucky to know him. And you, family were lucky to have him in your lives for so long

Ed was VERY SPECIAL at everything he did:
husband-father-sportsman-friend-golf pro-human being... For over 65 yrs. we
golfed, hunted, fished... NO drinking!
After too much once as a teen, before I
knew him, he quit FOREVER !
Also of note: Unlike the rest of us who
changed putters almost like shoes- he used the same wooden shaft, rusty relic
virtually his entire career :-)
