I was so sorry to hear of Jeanette's passing. Russel John was my mom's nephew, so we were all related. When I was about eleven, Jeanette invited me to Olympia to care for her first and new baby. It was a very special week for me. That would have been in about 1955-57. Such a gracious and truly lovely woman in every way. And they seemed very happy. They would often come to our house in Ballard for Thanksgiving dinner. It was always a treat to see her. A little over a year ago, my sister Karen and I drove to Marysville to visit. We bought some things from her recent finds, and now I treasure them all the more. Wonderful person, and I am proud to be part of her family!

Janette's son Todd and my son Todd were in the same class way back when. Janette and I had many cups of coffee back then and told all kinds of stories about whatever. She will be missed by many that knew her.

It was always a pleasure to stop and share our love of antiques together. She knew so much and was so willing to help all of us in the business.

The first antique I ever bought was from Jan. I became an antique dealer myself and was invited into her home. Her knowledge was perfection and she had a fun spirit. She will be missed.

Humphrey family,
I am so sorry to hear about your MOM passing away. I had the pleasure of getting to know Jan thru Bud Barton's Glass and have missed her these past couple years. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
