Not sure what to say?

Elke was always a lot of fun; I can still hear her great laugh. Even though it has been years since I worked with Elke, I was very saddened by her sudden passing. I was blessed to have known her.

Elke was a true joy to work with as she always had a positive outlook. We worked together in the Operator Services department in the old "cord-board" days.

Elke worked in the business response center for nearly four years. I was the team's manager and am saddened to read of her passing.

I admired Elke's sense of adventure and her joy for life. She was the first one with a joke and a smile. She made the best of each day. I hope the family can take comfort in knowing they were her priority.

I just heard about Elke. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Elke in the BSC at GTE for several years - she was a kick to work with! She would just make me laugh! I also got to go on several trips with her - the memories of which I will treasure forever. We were all so lucky to have her in our lives.

I worked with Elke at GTE and we carpooled for a while. We worked in the credit department, which could be pretty hard at times, but not with Elke by my side. She would make me laugh so hard - I miss those times. I have seen her a few times over the years, and she was still upbeat and smiling. I will miss you my German friend - God bless you all.

Elke was a wonderful co-worker and friend. I worked with Elke from day one of my GTE/Verizon career until my retirement in 2005. I started my GTE life in the Everett Directory Assistance Galaxy I office where Elke was an in-charge. Then just before I retired we worked in the same office at the Care Center in the same building and same identical spot as where the DA office was located.
Elke had plans to visit me in Yuma, Arizona (where I spend the winters) as soon as she recovered from some surgery at the end of this month. I was looking forward to showing her around Yuma. I knew this would be a good place to boost her spirits since the sun always shines and there are plenty of old people (older than us) to make her feel YOUNG. I am sorry that she is not able to come here. It would have been fun.
