Elmer Whittier Chase
Elmer enjoyed gardening, had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his great story telling. Since 2003, Elmer and wife have enjoyed the winters in Surprise, AZ.
Survived by his wife of over 59 yearrs, Lourayne Scogin Chase; great dad to Michael Chase (Deed) of Bellevue, Teri Hall (Jeff) of Bothell, and Larry Chase of Everett. Loving grandpa to Brian, Kevin, Kyle and Tessa Hall and Amy and Jack Chase.
A memorial service will be held at Light of the Cross Lutheran Church, 2717 180th St. S.E., Bothell, WA on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., with lunch following, to celebrate the life of a great husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be forever missed.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.

Dear Aunt Lourayne,
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Elmer. We think of his sweet smile and the loving and caring attitude that was always a part of him when he shared with us. Our prayers are with you. We plan to attend in June.

Lourayne and family,
We were shocked and saddened to hear about Elmer. He was such a terrific man! We will miss him and his fun stories, his generous and thoughtful help, and watching him outside perfecting every inch of his beautiful yard. Lourayne, we will attend his memorial on the 18th. Lourayne and family,
We will miss seeing Elmer and his great smile at his dental check up appointments. He had a way of making the people around him smile with his great sense of humor and his upbeat personality. We are so sorry for your loss and want you to know that you are all in our prayers, our thoughts and our hearts. Lourayne, we miss Elmer's presence in the yard next door constantly "puttering".
This is a particularly hard time for you and the rest of the family but knowing that we will one day be reunited with Elmer is very comforting.
