George Longley Obituary


George William Longley

George William Longley passed away at home, age 71, in Bothell, WA February 15, 2011. George was born in East Stroudsburg, PA December 9, 1939 the son of the late Martha Longley and William Longley. He grew up in Stroudsburg, PA. After graduating High School he served the next four years in the U.S. Navy. He then moved to Seattle, WA and was employed at Qwest for 37 years.
George enjoyed golf, bowling, going to Bingo, going to the state fairs in Monroe and Puyallup, and walks in the park with his dog, Powder.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Lynda; and children, Ben and Diana; step-children, Craig and Nancy; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Grace Hilbert and Jane Hilbert; and his brother, Larry Savercool, from PA.
Celebration of George's life will be held at a later date.
