Gunnar Bernhardsen, 85, of Everett, died July 6, 2014. Gunnar was born on January 8, 1929 in Vardo, Norway. Gunnar was married to Asta Bernhardsen for 59 years until her passing in 2005 and they had four children, Geir, Katrin, Bengt and David. Gunnar had seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and he was very proud of them all. Gunnar was an electrician by trade and worked for a variety of companies in Norway, Canada, Sweden and the US. He ended his career owning F&M Electric in Edmonds, Wash. Gunnar was an avid golfer and played weekly at Walter Hall and Legion golf course. He enjoyed the competition but mostly he enjoyed taking a few dollars from his playing competitors. Gunnar was self-educated and spent a lot of time educating himself by reading a variety of science publications. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching track & field, skiing, tennis and golf. Gunnar is survived by his children, Geir Bernhardsen, Katrin Bellrichard, Bengt Bernhardsen and David Bernhardsen. No memorial service will be held.
