James Alan Julius

Jim Julius passed away peacefully on April 21, 2013. Jim was born in Seattle, Washington on February 4, 1929; son of Jay and
Julia Julius. Raised in Richmond Beach, he graduated from Edmonds High School then did a short stint in the Army (Signal Corps in Georgia). Jim moved back home to Seattle to work, where he met Joyce Neureuter. They married and lived in the Lynnwood, North City and Edmonds area for 59 years. Jim was a cabinet-maker who worked at the master craftsman level. He volunteered at church and as a Boy Scout leader. He was an avid card player who was always on the lookout for that "crucial card". He loved to go camping, which culminated in a six month RV trip cross-country.
He is survived by his four sons, Jeff, Ken, Dave and Tim; and he was a loving grandfather to 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00p.m. on April 29, 2013 at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 18826 3rd Avenue Northwest Seattle, WA 98177, reception with refreshments following.
