James Krag Obituary


James Edward Krag

James (Jim) Edward Krag went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2011 after a brief but well fought battle against cancer. Born on March 11, 1933, Jim grew up in Marysville and remained in the area until his passing.
He leaves behind his wife of over 40 years, Joan Krag; his mother, Floris Krag, age 99; his loving brother, Don Krag (wife, Judy); and sister Judy Morton. He was loving father to Kari Krag Lewis (husband, Rick), Keven Krag, and Shane Krag (wife, Cris). Also to Lisa Lundgren Fritz (husband, Joel), Lori Lundgren Petchell (husband, Gary), Julie Lundgren Huff (husband, Mike), and Rick Lundgren; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilhelm Krag; sister, Dorothy Thornton; son, Kim Krag; and grandson, Brandon McDonald.
After serving in the Marine Corps, he worked at Simpson Lee Paper Company and later for Granite Falls High School. An avid fisherman, Jim enjoyed the outdoors and spending time along the Pilchuck River.
There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life. He will be missed.
