Jay Dschaak Obituary

Jay Mitchell Dschaak

Jay Dschaak, born June 2, 1959, died January 21, 2011 in his home in Marysville, WA.
Jay was preceded in death by his father, Eubert Dschaak.
He is survived by his children, Alissa, Amber, Ryan, and Andrea; grandchildren, Braiden, Kayla, and Wyatt.
Jay loved hunting, fishing, barbequeing and spending time with his family. He loved to cook and entertain on holidays with his kids and grandkids or just to get together to watch a movie. Jay was a hard worker and spent a lot of time working out of state in such places as Alaska, Hawaii, and Johnston Atoll Islands as a heavy equipment operator.
Jay will be deeply and forever missed by friends and family. He left us too soon.
His family plans to have a service where his ashes will be placed with his father in Stanwood, WA this summer. We love you Dad!

I am deeply sadened to learn Jay is no longer with us. Your Dad and I grew up together. We were best friends for years. Whenever I was on leave we spend some time together to make more memories. We last saw each other in the late 80s before losing touch and he was so proud of you kids. I didn't know he was in Marysville when I was in town last year. I wished I could go back as I thought of him often and still do. I miss him and I know you kids do too. He was everything you said even before you were born. Hardworking, reliable, and loyal is how I remember him. I think he would say that everyone needs to enjoy the journey and not just the destination. He is missed. Sincerely, Michael E. Smith

Uncle Jay, you were such a wonderful man. I have loved you all my life! One of my first memories is of you and Uncle Scott swinging me in a blanket..I think I was 2. I will remember you as a big, strong and loving man who left this earth to soon. I'm comforted to know you are with your dad who you missed so much.
