Jeffrey Lewis Obituary

Jeffrey Stephen Lewis
April 4, 1968 - April 9, 2011

Our precious father, son, brother and friend, Jeff Lewis, was sadly taken from us April 9, 2011 after a short illness. Our wish now is to celebrate his life...
Jeff was born in Everett, WA and spent his early years in Marysville, WA, graduating from Marysville Pilchuck High School in 1986. He boxed for the Firefighters Boxing club and even worked his way to nationals in 1982. Jeff dearly loved sports; football and baseball being his favorites.
But mostly, Jeff was a family man. He loved and enjoyed every moment with his children. His parents, brothers and sister shared an incredible bond that only grew stronger and stronger throughout the years. His friendships were also his family. Jeff had an uncanny ability to make friends and keep their love forever. As his circle of family and friends grew, so did the amount of love he was surrounded by for the last week of his life.
We will never forget his smile, his laugh, his incredible personality, or the special way he loved us all.
Jeff is survived by his loving family, son, Marcus Lewis; daughter, Danielle Lewis; loving mother, DeDe Kee (Rich); father, Steve Lewis; brothers, Jamie and Stephen Lewis; sister, Jennifer Lewis; aunts and uncles, Linda and Dennis Allison and Fran and Dale Peters; special cousin, Martie; and special nephew, TJ. Jeff also leaves behind a multitude of close loving friends.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at the VFW, 2711 Oakes Avenue in Everett from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011.
Everyone who loved Jeff is invited to share in the fond memories and stories of Jeff's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the service for his children.

De De, if you are reading these posts, please know I am still thinking of you. I can't get it out of my head. Children are not supposed to die before their parents. I hope you are getting through this okay. I know it must be hell. Please take care of yourself.

I used to be friends with Jeff's mom and used to help out by babysitting both Jeff and Jaime while DeDe worked. I was shocked to see his name in today's paper. I am so sorry for DeDe and Jaime and just would like to extend my sincerest condolences. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Jeff when I was a teenager and dating one of his boxing friends. I remember traveling to Tacoma and watching them box. Many years later (about 15) Jeff and his brother started bringing their children to Tyee Lanes to bowl (where I worked). I will always remember the connection between Jeff and Jamie and their children and what a fun guy Jeff was. He will be missed.

I went to MPHS and graduated in 1986 with Jeff. I enjoyed reconnecting with him through Facebook after so many years. He was a great guy, good friend and a wonderful father. My thoughts, prayers and sincere condolences go to his family, children and many friends. He was taken from us way to soon, but I hope the memories of his life will fill your hearts and give you strength. Rest in peace, my friend.
