Hi Dad,

It's been 14 years today. That number doesn´t even feel real. Some days it hits me harder than others, and today´s one of those days. I´m missing you a little extra.

You were truly one of a kind. A big ol´ teddy bear with the biggest heart. I still can´t think of a single person you met who didn´t walk away feeling better, lighter, seen. You had that gift. You made everything feel okay just by being there.

I still talk to you all the time. I can even hear your voice in my head when I need advice-like, I know what you´d say. And sometimes, that´s enough. But other times... I just really wish you were here. I could really use your hugs, your wisdom, your laugh that made everything feel lighter.

You always knew how to cheer me up, even on my worst days. You still do, in your own way. But man, I´d give anything for one more real talk, one more bear hug.

I hope you know how much I love you, how much I miss you, how often I carry you with me.

I was his best man at his wedding in 1978. A great honor from a great friend and fellow scout. Some of my best years was with Jessie in scouts. He was a great leader and taught me so much. I think about him often. Bill Lockie

My brother: For some of us our most glorious role comes when we are not in this world. These chosen angels guide their loved ones in the darkness, walk beside them when they feel all alone and light the way with a smile. What an honor. You have a job that is so special - it is now your time to shine. All my love, Donna

Dear Jesse, Rest in Peace. You are loved so much by family and friends and will always be remembered.

...He will raise you up on eagle's wings
Bear you on the breath of dawn
Make you to shine like the sun
And hold you in the palm of His Hand...

Love Lisa

I am typing this at the time of Jesse's actual Memorial with tears in my eyes. We could not be there, however, we had a private memorial here. We have a candle burning next to his picture, viewing his guest book, praying and playing Angel from Sarah McLachlan. God Bless You.

Jesse, Jesse, how can we express in words how deeply we miss you. You brought so much laughter and good times into our lives. The boating trips at your parent's cottage, fun at the Hammond Marina, camping trips in the pouring down rain. Always loved to see you. When we would see you and talk to you, we felt as if we could do anything. You were the most motivated and driven person we have ever known. We cherish all the good memories. Please know we pray you are at Peace.
May your every hearts desire finally be met.
We love you. It will be hard to live life knowing you are not here.
We offer our deepest heartfelt sympathy to all of your family. You were a Good Man.
Love you always.

Jesse, may you finally have peace my friend, you were like my brother, and we will miss you forever.
