Jesse Lee Brantner, 79, passed to be with his Lord Jesus September 28, 2013 in Stanwood, WA. He was born to Verl and Winnifred Brantner July 27, 1934 in Randolph, KS. Jesse graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1952, in Deming, WA. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and operating engineer for 42 years, retiring in 1994. Jesse was a member of the ELKS, NRA and Bethany Christian Assembly. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, water and snow skiing, snowmobiling and all sports, especially basketball, racquetball and golf. Jesse was a generous, outgoing, strong, faithful, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never met a stranger in his life, loving people so that they all became friends. He also appreciated having fun and a good joke. Above all he loved God, his family and his country. Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Irene K. Brantner; children, Verl Brantner II, Jesse (Donna) Brantner Jr., Katrina (Robert) Perasso; sisters, Patricia (Marvin) Betts, Carolyn Solberg; brothers-in-law, Richard (Trudy) Rathjen, Phillip (Reva) Rathjen; sister-in-law Barbara Johnson; grandchildren, Katrina (Eric) Soderstrom, Robert (Darcy) Perasso, Brandon (Katie) Perasso, Justin (Kristen) Brantner, Jaclyn Brantner; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Nolan, Kennedy, Landon, Carmen, Kylee, Khloe; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing will precede the funeral service Saturday, October 5, 2013, 9:00 a.m. at Bethany Christian Assembly, 2715 Everett Ave., Everett, WA.
