Joanne Johnson Obituary

Joanne McKee Johnson

Our beloved mother passed away unexpectedly in her sleep February 2, 2011.
She left us with so many treasured memories of her love, beauty, sense of humor, determination, contagious smile and laughter along with her perseverance and courage. These memories will live on in us as well as within those lives that she touched. Thank you Mom!
Joanne was born in Aurora, IL January 23, 1943 to Aloysious and Joy (Jensen) Wiesbrock and is survived by her siblings, James Wiesbrock of Land O'Lakes, WI and Michele (Wiesbrock) Phleger of Minneapolis, MN and a large extended family.
Mom began a new life adventure in Washington State in the City of Lake Stevens after her wedding to Edwin W. McKee in January 1963.
She is survived by her seven children who were her pride and joy, Cindy LaRue, Katharine (Ron) Hendrickson, Connie (Kevin) Gaston, Sandra (Jamie) Elvrom, Patty (Jake) Dietz, Michael McKee, and Peter McKee. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Toni, Taylor, Rachel, Josiah, Garrett, Ted, Ronnie, Stephen, Mitchel, Nic, Ryan, Caleb, Megan and Bethany.
The last 10 years of her life Joanne lived in Port Angeles, WA with her husband Monty Johnson.
Our mom taught us to love, to laugh and to value family. We will miss you and your sense of humor, mom. And mom, "we love you more!"
A celebration of Joanne's life will be held April 9, 2011 at the Marysville Church of the Nazarene, located at 8240 64th St. NE, Marysville, WA 98270. Service begins at 11 a.m. followed by food and fellowship. Please come and share your memories with us.

When Aunt Joanne and Uncle Ed and my McKee relatives moved
to Washington I was young but I can still remember family times together. I was able to reconnect with some of my cousins and their families this past year. I feel I got to know Aunt Joanne thru them.

Stan & I send our Love and Condolences.

I always admired Aunt Joanne's wit, her wisdom, and her inner strength. Always with a smile on her face, I believe her motto was, "Laugh often, long, and loud!". She will be missed and always remembered with love.

I'm so sorry that I can't be there in person to help celebrate her life. Please know that I will be there in spirit, and that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My dearest friend. There are no words to say how much I will miss you. The memories are too many to mention. I think of them often as I cry and laugh at the same time. We had some wonderful times together, some we can mention...some we can't! I will always love and miss you Joanne and never forget you.
