Louise and family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Joe was such a positive inspiration and always had a smile on his face. I just loved bumping into him at the store or at the courthouse and catching up on our families. May God Bless you all and give you His Peace

My condolences to Louise and the family. When Joey enter the service he would write letters, actually print letters to me as I had not yet learned how to read or write in cursive handwriting. How many people would take the time to do this? Only one! My cousin Joey. I will always love you and pray for your soul to be in heaven.

Your cousin,

Although we were many miles away, we still kept in touch by U.S. mail and phone; Joe did not care for computers, e-mail and the like. I regret I was not able to visit him before his passing but I plan to be there for the memorial Mass. I already miss you, Joe. Love you like a brother. In fact, I am your brother. I'll meet you by the river someday. Your brother, Oscar in San Antonio, Texas.

To Louise and my Carbajal cousins:
Joey was the oldest of the first six Original "cousins".
Oscar is now the oldest, then Jeannie, Guy, Bobbie, and me, Nan. My Mom and Dad loved Joey and Oscar like their own. We all had so much fun together. I have many pictures with us all dressed in white. My heart breaks for all of you. Kenneth, you know how special and loved you and Elliot have been to us. I know how your Dad suffered. Thank God Our dear Lord let me go on after my fight in 2011. You all will be in our prayers everyday as we pray our rosary to Our Blessed Mother. Our love is always with you Louise. Joey was a wonderful man. A proud Dad and a Navy veteran and good American. We will miss always.

God bless you.
