John "Jocko" Hayes
Jan. 7, 1948 - Dec. 12, 2012

John Hayes passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side, after a long fight with cancer.
John was a man of incredible strength, not only physically but mentally as well. He was strong in his beliefs and his values. His sense of duty and responsibility never wavered and his strong bonds with friends and family could never be broken.
John was always willing to help a friend in need, one need only ask. He never expected anything in return, it was simply what was done for those you love. John also had strong loyalties to his employers, he was a Fiber Manager for many years for both Kimberly Clarke and later Georgia Pacific.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sandy Brand Hayes; daughter, Megan; stepson, Brandon Walsh (Yoonmee); brothers, Pat (Mary Ann), and Robert (Patty); sister, Peggy (Marc) Ladd; mother, Loretta; and grandaughter, Gabrielle Walsh.
A Celebration of Life will be January 5, 2013, 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception with a reception to follow at the VFW in Everett.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Vincent de Paul.
Jocko, you will be incredibly missed, those who's lives you have touched are stronger for it!
