John Sherin Obituary
John (Jack) Sherin
He leaves behind his wife and best friend, Glory Perry Sherin; brother, David Sherin (Dorothy); sister, Marion Nichols (Bill); three daughters, Marilyn Sherin (family friend, Irene), JoAnn Rollins (Chuck) and Shirley King; four step-children, Sherman Perry, Michael Perry (Suzanne), Rick Toussaint and Robin Helland (Ron); nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and a lifetime collection of good friends. All will miss him deeply.
Jack's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kyle Terry and the wonderful staff at Dayton General Hospital for careful and considerate service to Jack when he was in their care. The family is also grateful to Walla Walla Community Hospice for their outstanding and compassionate concern for Jack and remarkable assistance to his family.
There will be a celebration of life from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Everett Elks Club.

My thoughts and Prayers go out to Robin and Glory and the rest of the family. Although I didnt know Jack well i know he was in great hands Robin was a GREAT "caregiver" he was always clean and happy and in great sprits. Robin you have gave up so much these last few years to care for him.; No one could have ever done what you did Robin or done a good job like you did. Now he is up with the angels!!

Condolences Glory. The company I worked for opened a restaurant in Everett in l957. Jack was the first operator to stop in and wish us a welcome. Over the years the friendship grew and Jack was always Jack. Our paths crossed many times. The pleasure of this association was enhanced by the Pot Roast at the "Cook Book" or a sandwich at "Jacks"; what a great person and friend!

I loved Jack!!! Such a character and he used to get such a big kick when I'd call him Mr. Perry! My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

Jack is an icon in Everett. He always had a smile and said hello to everyone. Jack's on Hewitt was the place to be as the politics flew and lawyers were friends in a friendly place. Our sympathy to each of his loved ones. RIP

Our deepest Sympathy. Jack was always up beat and full of fun.I can remmber the Sherin family picnics at Alki Beach Jack always helped make them fun. Jack was a great cousin. I would stop in and visit him at the Restarant. I have great Memorys of our visits. One of the shinning stars of this world we live in.

Our deepest sympathy for your loss Glory. Jack will always hold a special place in my heart. Although many years have passed since I was able to visit with both you and Jack, the years that I spent working for both of you are very dear to me. Jack was such a nice man to all the people he touched. All those memorable times at the CookBook are dear to my heart. I will always remember and admire his interest in the political world. He was wise and very dedicated to what he believed and I am sure that he was correct in his ideology. Jack will be missed but never forgotten. He employed and helped so many people. Jack had a 'heart of gold' for sure. God bless you both.

Dear Sherin Family Members:
Plese accept my hearfelt sympathy and know that many are thinking of you at this time as we remember Jack, his stories and his actions.
Jack was truly one of the most unforgetable characters I had the good fortune to meet. He demonstrated to all of us in his life and deeds the living of a joyful life and the practice of the "Golden Rule".
Although I join you in grieving I also laugh with joy as I recall my association with Jack.

Dear Glory, Robin and Family, may God bless you all during this most difficult time. I am so very Thankful for the help I received from Jack and Glory as a youngster-they always seemed to take care of me and I truly appreciate everything that you both did. I worked for Jack an Hewitt and always enjoyed his bright smile and kind way-He was a wonderful person and I am a better person for having him help me along the way. Jack was always so great to my family. My mother was a devoted employee to Jack for decades. He employed my father as well for a time and they became good friends over the years.
When I was a kid (10-12 years old) Jack would let me come down to his restaurant and do some cleaning on Sundays allowing me to make a little money. Looking back, he didn't have me working very hard. I think he just enjoyed paying me a few bucks for showing interest. And the best part, when the work was done, he let me make the biggest milk shakes I could drink. As a kid, what's better than free milk shakes!
I will always have fond memories of Jack. You will be missed.

Dear Sherin Family: I'm so sorry about your loss. Jack was a friend of my mother and step-father, Dean and Neva Ward. Jack adopted my mom's little dog after she passed away. I worked for Jack as a bartender at Jack's on Hewit during the '70's. What fun times! I even worked for Glory one time as a cocktail waitress. I think she was happy to send me back to Jack's. Jack was a big part of one of the best times in my life. I will always think of Jack smiling and laughing at the end of the bar. Many will miss you Jack ~~ Love, Susan Lundquist.

Glory, Robin and family: Jack was a great person who could always bring a smile just seeing his smiling face. You two are remarkable and strong women who Jack loved so much. Where ever he is, it just became a better place.
