Kenneth Frisk Obituary

Kenneth Walter Frisk

Kenneth Walter Frisk, 69, of Boise, Idaho, quietly passed away June 4, 2011, surrounded by his family.
He was born October 6, 1941, in Valley City, North Dakota, the son of the late Margaret (Compson) and Walter Frisk. He was the oldest of six siblings. He married Patricia M. Davis on January 15, 1982.
At a very young age, his family moved to Everett, WA, where he graduated from Everett High School in 1959. He went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington State College in Bellingham, WA in 1965. Over the years he was employed as a school teacher, a sports coach, a bank employee, and a hardware sales manager. He retired from Evans Building Supply in Eagle, Idaho in 2008. For many years he and his wife, Pat, owned their own mobile heavy equipment painting business, Equipment Refinishers and later a franchise printing store, International Minute Press.
He was an avid off-road motorcyclist, who rode hundreds of trails around the Pacific Northwest over the course of three decades. A member of the treasure Valley trail Machine Association, he passed on his passion for riding to his wife Pat, four daughters and two grandsons. The family enjoyed many camping trips from the beaches of the Oregon Coast to the desert and mountains of Idaho. Fishing for trout and going to Bluegrass festivals were other favorite activities. he loved sports, and was an especially loyal fan of the Boise State University Broncos, long before they were world famous. During the years he and Pat spent on the road with their painting business, they greatly enjoyed traveling and exploring many nooks and crannies of the western United States and beyond. He will be remembered for loving his family, usually sitting quietly observing and smiling as the rest of the group carried on, whether by the campfire or at the kitchen table.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Ann Libengood, of Boise; daughter, Susan Marshall, of Westminster, CO; daughter, Dianna (Steve) Fathke, of Salem, OR; daughter, Michelle (Mick) Ekleberry, of Boise; grandson, Trevor Hill, of Glide, OR; grandson, Zach Davis, of Boise; sister, Louise (Jim) Bender, of Marysville; sister, Barbara Griffith, of Everett; sister, Betty (Dan) Christofferson, of Marysville; and sister, Bonnie Tanis, of Everett.
The family is not holding public services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests continued support of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's research organizations.
