Kennith Jones Obituary

Kennith L. Jones

Kennith L. Jones, of Central Park, Grays Harbor, WA, was born in Silva, NC on March 21, 1943 and passed away on January 12, 2011 at the age of 67.
Ken was the first child of Ray and Lucille Jones, of Darrington, WA. Ken moved to Aberdeen, WA in 1962 and worked as a timber faller for many years, then retrained and retired as a detention officer from Junction City Juvenile Center in 2008.
Ken's favorite sport was to hunt with and talk hounds with his hunting buddies, dad and brother. He liked to hear a good joke as well as tell them. Ken liked to "come home to Darrington", be with his family and eat Mom's cornbread and beans.
Ken is survived by his parents; his wife and soul mate, Jan, of Central Park; son, Travis; grandson, Dallas, of Hoquiam, WA; step children, Corey Luck and Amanda Balstzell and husband, Todd; brother, Dennis and wife, Kathy; sisters, Elena "Lee" Cook and husband, Willard, Linda Lindstrom and husband, Cliff; and our "other brother, Jody Reece."
He was predeceased by his ex-wife, Susan Adams Jones; and his brother, Mitchell Jones.
A private celebration of Ken's life will be held for family and friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at the Darrington Community Center.
Donations can be made to the Darrington Memorial Dinners, PO Box 608, Darrington, WA 98241.

There wasn't a better person in our lives than Ken. He always had a smile, a joke, he enjoyed every aspect of life and he genuinely cared about others. When Ken met Jan, he gained a soulmate and we gained a sister. We will miss Ken, but he will be with us forever. He is unforgettable. His smile and his laugh will remain in the memory of every person he knew.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May you have comfort in knowing that he has no more pain, and is in a better hunting place now! I am sure we will all miss his huge smile, and all his jokes.
With Love,

Jan, Travis, and the Jones Family,
It is so hard to believe that Kenny will never come knocking on our door again. We are so saddened by his passing. We attended his service yesterday in Aberdeen. What a filled church it was. We will also attend the Darrington service Feb. 5th. I think our 43 yr old Son said it best when he wrote, " Kenny was my Favorite Uncle. Everone smiled when he came to the door, and not only because he was loved, but in anticipation of the fun that would be had by all". Kenny Jones was one loved man in the Sygitowicz household.
