Lang Wilson Obituary

Lang Allen Wilson

Lang Allen Wilson passed away peacefully in the early hours of May 10, 2011.
Lang was born January 17, 1932 in rural Oklahoma.
After moving to the Pacific Northwest, Lang went to work for the Boeing Company and owned and operated the Friendly Tavern in Everett. He was an avid outdoorsman, living his life for the weekends of fishing, hunting and mushroom picking. He spent many of his summers in the garden tending to his vegetables. Lang enjoyed his tads, Swisher Sweets and chats in the Boys Room.
He was reunited in death with his loving wife of 51 years, Gloria Wilson.
He is survived by his children, Clark (April) and Tanya (Ray); grandchildren, Gina (Trevor), Julie (Jeff), Andrew, Megan and Jesse; and by his great-grandchildren, Christopher, Kaylie, Joshua and Ella.
No memorial services will be held, as per Lang's wishes.

Dear Tanya and Clark, please accept my heart felt sympathy. I"m sorry, I did not know that Gloria had passed. I have fond memories of her while working with her at the dental office. And then our friendship outside the office and up at White River pines. What a wonderful couple were your parents. Let the many memories bring you comfort.

I enjoyed the tads and the discussions in the boys room.langs door was always open.My favorite Lang story was one cold dec morning as i drove onto the gravel bar at the two-bit hole on the skykomish river,There was Lang knelt down on the gravel bar freezing and shaking so bad he could not get the hook out of a steelhead.I gladly helped him out.

I have many, many memories of growing up next-door to Lang, Gloria, Tanya, and Clark. They were literally my second familiy. Lang had a big heart and took in many "strays" over the years. The wilson house was the place to be in Vista park! Having Lang and Gloria as neighbors again (and official family) these last 17 years has been like a homecoming for me. I loved them both, and will miss them very much.
